A couple of weeks ago a group of women schlepped from all over Australia to spend the weekend near my home in the Dumaresq Valley, where we made bagels from scratch, plucked ducks, cooked on a crazy wood stove in the shearers' quarters, drank cardamom infused coffee and at one stage thought we were going to be snowed on as we slept, with the rickety roof almost flying away in the hills in a wild storm. It was a girls' own adventure for grown-ups.
And instead of letting it float away after a few instagram photos we have pulled together our stories, pictures and of course recipes from the weekend and have created what I think is a pretty fabulous e-book.
I'm really excited to share the link. It can be downloaded for free and I hope it gives you a sense of how beautiful and inspiring the weekend was.
Big thanks to Megan from Odgers & McClellan Exchange Stores in Nundle who not only did a lot of the cooking over this weekend, supplied the beautiful enamelware and camping tools, but also was the driving force behind the e-book. And also to Sarah Davies for handling all the technical stuff and making the ebook look so good.
To read the ebook click here and if you'd like to print it out, shoot me an email and I can send you through a hi res version.
And also thanks to Sophie from Local is Lovely for the ebook inspiration with her Winter Baking book.
