While summers are all about dreaming for me, autumns are about doing. And in light of this I found this article very interesting (thanks for tip off Ed). It's about the concept of running up an idea debt when you spend “too much time picturing what a project is going to be like, too much time thinking about how awesome it will be… and too little time actually making the thing."
The amount of incredible parties with garland decorated donkeys I have had in my head is alarming. Same for the projects I have done with my children. They've learnt French and how to do butterfly and how to make coq au vin autonomously.
In reality they spend a lot of time on the trampoline with an old strap as a swing and are still getting their minds around speaking English. But now it is autumn and it's time to pay down some of my debt.
