This incredible property in Burgundy, France will be the setting for the most amazing photography/videography/styling/flower workshop in August this year.
Over five days students will immerse themselves in in-depth classes on how to take excellent photos, make videos, style tables and work with flowers, all while eating delicious french food and forging new friendships. We will go antique hunting in nearby towns, drink wine as the sun sets and basically have a blast.
The mastermind behind this workshop is Flore Vallery-Radot, an Australian-based photographer, whose family home in France this is. She has poured her heart and soul into designing the schedule to maximise learning opportunities and make sure students work in small groups only so that they can make the most of their time with the teachers. It is in essence four workshops condensed into one and I think the value for money is exceptional.
Flore would not be so crass as to talk about the money side of things so explicitly, but I will. This is the first workshop she will host at her parent's property but won't be the last and I imagine future workshops will be more expensive, (the work that has going into this is mind blowing) so this is a great opportunity to jump on board at this price. It would be difficult to find so much in terms of content and tuition, as well as lovely food and accommodation for five days at this price (2750 Euros) anywhere else.
And what an opportunity to stay at a working family farm in this gorgeous area of France. The older I get, the less interested I am in staying in hotels or visiting places where so many other tourists visit too. This is a chance to experience a real French home that is cared for with an equal mix of love and hardwork.
I am super excited about this (can't you tell!!). If you are a total beginner, fear not. All levels are welcome and the classes will be broken down into small groups to accommodate different levels.
For more information on dates, the teachers (two from Australia, one from the US and one from the UK) and how to join us, please visit Flore's detailed page over here on her website www.thefloshow.com
Ps, all the photos in this post where taken by Flore last year when she returned to her family farm to plan this workshop. Can you believe this is the actual venue?!
