A Flower Workshop: picking, arranging and painting. March 10th and 11th 2018

490.00

Spend two flower-filled days at The White Cottage, a glorious cottage garden and flower farm in Tenterfield on the NSW-Queensland border, learning how to arrange flowers and paint them.

Country Style columnist and flower enthusiast Annabelle Hickson will share her tips for flower arranging, while Warwick painter Nikki Malone will teach us how to paint flower arrangements. Beginners fear not. No previous painting experience is required.

Mandy Reid, the owner of The White Cottage, will also join us in the beautiful venue she has created, ready to share her knowledge on the flowers in her garden.

Day 1

10am A flower demonstration by Annabelle, with a cup of tea, of course. We will then wander through Mandy''s garden at The White Cottage and pick flowers for our own arrangements. Each student will be provided with a vase (to take home) for their first arrangement, but feel free to bring another vase for a second arrangement if you are feeling inspired. Please bring your own secateurs.

1pm lunch

1.30pm

Mixing paints with Nikki. Learn how to mix your own colours and match them to colours you see around the garden. This is also a great time to ask and questions you may have for Mandy, Nikki or Annabelle.

4pm finish

Day 2

10am

Learn how to paint flower still life with Nikki. We'll all paint the same arrangement together and then if you are keen you can have a go at painting your own arrangement from the day before.
